Khandi Gibson

Founder & Director,

Families of All Murdered Victims (FOAM)

Dr. Khandi Gibson is the Founder and Director of Families of All Murdered Victims (FOAM), a nonprofit organization she established in 2012 in Nassau, Bahamas, after losing her brothers to violence.

Through her leadership, FOAM has become a nationally recognized organization providing grief support, shelter, advocacy, and essential resources to families affected by violent crime. Since 2017, FOAM has operated a six-bedroom shelter facility assisting victims of domestic violence, human trafficking survivors, and families in crisis.

A passionate advocate for victims’ rights and policy reform, she is widely respected for her voice on justice and social issues. Her work has earned multiple honors, including the Order of Merit, recognition as a CIBC Caribbean Unsung Hero, and selection as one of L’Oréal Caribe’s “45 Women That Move the Caribbean” nominees. As part of this prestigious recognition, her photograph was featured at The Mall of San Juan in Puerto Rico, alongside other distinguished women celebrated for their leadership and contributions throughout the Caribbean.

In addition to her humanitarian efforts, Dr. Gibson is a Justice of the Peace, licensed Marriage Officer, and host of the radio show, Community Matters. She currently leads the development of FOAM’s 24 Hours We Care Center, continuing her mission to turn pain into purpose and positively impact lives across The Bahamas.
